Vintage Design
A classic chair that can be used alone or combined with others as part of a modular ‘sofa’. This model was the easy chair that lined the walls of 1970s school staff rooms – stunningly comfortable, but also a very elegant and simple modernist design with its low solid beechwood frame supporting two removable cushion pads.
The original upholstery covers in a striking blue hopsack fabric have been carefully cleaned and now treated to meet modern fire regulations with new foam inserts. The covers are original and do show some signs of fading and some light marks but are in good vintage condition. Light signs of wear on the frames in particular on the front legs.
All with original blue and gold Ercol labels.
Available as individual chairs or as a set of three.
Approx. dimensions (cm): frame 60.5w x 68d x 68.5h; with cushions 60.5x 69.5x 75h seat height 40.
