Written on it in French as ” Le Patriotisme offre ses armes à la france par les mains de M. de la Fayette ” and translates in English as “Patriotism offers its weapons to France through the Hands of Madame La Fayette”. Framed in custom evantail fan giltwood framed with velvet lined. 18th Century original copy. Original in musee Carnavalet in Paris with No G.27042.
