A fine piece of midcentury Italian bedroom furniture that will look fabulous in any home. Produced circa 1958, the principal structure of the bed, designed by Borsani is made from solid hammered brass and painted steel supports. The brass headboard features a series of heavy cast solid brass interlocking geometric elements creating a supremely elegant and timeless repetitive motif, by Arnaldo Pomodoro. The small series of Borsani beds designed in collaboration with Pomodoro were produced in several different designs, each in very limited numbers and all handmade by the Arredamento Borsani in Varedo, Italy. This series of beds never went into serial Industrial Production, a fact confirmed by the Arredamento Borsani archives.
