Vintage 18K Gold Pomellato Frosted Heart Pendant Necklace

This 18k gold and glass heart radiates with a warm amber hue. Both gold and glass are acid etched, which gives them a matte finish that is luminous and beautiful. The heart is held in an untraditional off-centre mount, with an oversized bail, that allows the pendant to hang off to the side for a unique and sophisticated look. The heart is translucent, and when held in the light, it glows.

Since 1967, Pomellato has been on the cutting edge of fashion-forward jewellery. Founded in Milan by Pino Rabolini, Pomellato jewellery is known for being avant garde, colourful, and impeccably crafted. It revolutionised women’s jewellery and is described as embodying modern yet unconventional beauty.

The heart-shaped pendant measures approximately 1 1/4” across and 1” tall, not including the bail. The bail measures approximately 9/16” x 7/16”. The bail is wide enough to fit a variety of chains, so there are many possibilities for how this pendant could be worn. It looks fantastic on an omega chain, clipped into a dog clasp, or worn on the original wax linen cord. The pendant weighs 22.9 grammes.

This piece comes with its original Pomellato box and two original, unused wax linen cords. The brown cord is 31 inches long and 1/4 inch thick; the black cord is 31 inches and 3/8 inch thick.
