The Supa chair is made of parts that are independent. The wood framed, leather cord woven back, the solid seat as well as the turned legs, all have different design and crafting approaches, are all made separately and only assembled after complete fabrication, using basic bolts and inset nuts. Optional armrests are also post fitted in the same way. This not only creates an eclectic chair with an improvisational approach, using independent parts, as is often necessary in the culture of manufacturing in Africa, but it also allows for a robust chair that can be shipped flat packed in a box. The groves on the back and subtle texturing on the legs further emphasize the strong craft attitude of the chair.
