Important commode, 1700s, Sicilian, finely crafted with high craftsmanship.
Shaped white marble top, resting on the shaft that follows the line of the furniture.
Front with three wavy drawers divided by crossbars, one under the smaller plan and two larger below, veneered in violet wood with geometric reserves within fillets with wood and circular rosettes in wood opposed arranged in herringbone. The edge of the drawers is profiled with a rounded solid wood headboard; the crossbars are also veneered in a herringbone pattern set against the edges of the drawers.
The sides repeat the same geometric pattern of the plating in a single reserve with mirroring centered by a single circular rosette.
Moved apron that fits into the slightly arched legs. Brass plinths and frames partly pierced.
