Ronald Amey was a masterful designer, from concept to execution, and, although a bit under the radar, his clothes are much sought after by connoisseurs. He used exquisite and interesting fabrics, as evidenced in this ensemble dating to the 1960s, before he worked under his eponomous label. Crafted of rich brocade in sand and gold, the outfit consists of a scoop-neck dress and double-breasted, fitted jacket with rhinestones buttons and double-seam shaping front and back that open to pleats below the waist. The sleeveless dress has a fitted bodice and full skirt with wide belt and side zipper. Lined in beige satin.
