Chair no. 221½ was designed by Gebrüder Thonet in 1898. Jugenstil or Art Nouveau style. It’s depicted in the Thonet catalogue of 1906 (page 19).
This version no. 221½ of the chair is somewhat smaller than chair no. 221 (in the same catalogue on page 18). Colour is redbrown. New handwoven rattan seat. Marked “Thonet” underneath the seat.
