A beautiful Regency Revival dining table dating from the mid 20th century. The table is of fabulous quality, is in excellent condition and is also highly desirable. A large round table is perfect for dinner parties as all the guests can talk to each other easily. The botanical name for the mahogany this table is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation. The monumental circular table top has been crafted from wonderful flame mahogany in a sunburst pattern and has a crossbanded border with an inlaid line separating it. The fabulous centre base is reminiscent of George Bullock’s work and the table top stands on a circular ring base with six beautifully carved reeded legs fitted with decorative brass castors. This fascinating table represents all the very best elements of English furniture making. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with your guests at mealtimes. This table is shown with a set of twelve Regency Revival chairs around it which are available if required. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
