This adorable 10k gold pin brings a little good luck when worn on a jacket or blazer! Set in the centre of an oval, a four-leaf clover is carved with lovely hand engraved details and topped with a red glass paste gemstone for a touch of colour.
The four-leaf clover is a symbol of good luck and fortune. In folklore, the first leaf represents faith, the second is for hope, the third is for love and the fourth is for luck.
An independent study carried out by Swiss researchers looked at 5.7 million clovers and found that the likelihood of finding one four-leaf clover was one in 5,076 three-leafed ones.

This pin of an Antelope is an Artiodactyla’s lover delight. An antelope is reverse painted on an Essex crystal and mounted on a 14 karat yellow gold safety pin like brooch. The pin measures a total of 1 3/8 inches and the crystal cabochon that features the antelope is 12.3mm x 12.3mm and bezel set in 14 karat gold. The cloven-hooved mammal has been carved and hand painted reversely into the crystal, backed by mother of pearl giving the piece a luminous glow. The beast stands in miniature majestic glory.

This piece dates to the Edwardian era and is marked which is an unidentifiable mark but tests to be 14 karat gold. It weighs 2.75 grammes . This 14k gold Victorian pin has an undulating flower form with curved petals that spiral like a sea anemone. Floral and oceanic, the pin has an organic quality to it that seems simple at first but draws in the eye to reveal the design’s intricacies. The flower is a fractal, its spirals mirror each other in delicate detail. In the centre of the pin, a large pearl symbolises a piston. The pearl has a beautiful lustre—a white glow with overtones of pink and blue. The petal-like appendages are each adorned with a turquoise cabochon that adds a pop of colour.

The pin is unmarked but acid tests as 14k. The pearl measures 6.2 mm; the turquoise cabochons measure 2.25 mm. The pin is 1 1/8” across and weighs 6.65 grammes.

Brooches are gaining popularity in contemporary fashion, and this piece looks adorable on a jean jacket. It has a small hook on the back that allows an additional charm or adornment to be attached. The hook also allows the brooch to hang on a chain as a pendant.

Circa the Edwardian era, this large and impressive Rhinoceros beetle brooch is encrusted with Rose Cut diamonds on an 18k gold and sterling silver body. The insect’s head and aerial are accentuated with patterns of diamonds in stylized floral shapes. At the centre of the head is a large stunning Rose Cut diamond, surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, with two ruby cabochons for eyes. The insect’s abdomen is a striking carved moon-shaped onyx that is beautifully fit into the body of the piece. The black of the onyx is offset by a darkened silver patina; the diamonds glisten and pop against it. Six insect legs are made of 18k gold and its feet turn into stylized loops—a design that is repeated throughout the piece.

The brooch is done with incredible attention to detail. The underside of the brooch reveals a cage-like 18k gold setting for the onyx, as well as detailing on the legs—this is the work of a master. The piece is marked as 18k gold and acid tests as sterling silver.

There are 89 Rose Cut diamonds in the piece, with a total weight of 2.5 carats. The diamonds range in size from 4.75 mm – 1.5 mm, with the largest diamond in the centre of the beetle’s head. The diamonds are J-K-L in colour and SI in clarity. The two ruby cabochons measure 2 mm.

The brooch measures 3 1/2” x 1 1/4” and weighs 42.7 grammes. The piece comes in its original antique box.
