Talented Munich-based illustrator Ursula Baur alias Lilli Grill is the first artist I am happy to work together on this project. This handbag is number two of five one-of-a-kind handbags embellished by her. Love her imaginative and expressive fashion-savy illustration art.
Lilli Grill designed the playful illustrations according to the shape, style and colour of this unique 1960s midnight blue leather handbag and painted them by hand with acrylic paint onto both outsides.
The “Safari“ named artwork features a pair of green eyes behind oversized white and black spotted sunglasses on the front side and the word “SAFARI” with a palm-shaped “I” painted white and grass-green on the back side.
Rigid frame design. Double-layered soft top handle. One compartment including three slit pockets, one holding the original pocket mirror. Night blue satin lining with the slit pockets edged in silver. Silver tone metal push lock closure. Marked “GB” inside.
Excellent vintage condition.
