Pair of Louis XVI French Aubusson Tapestry Fruitwood Armchairs was hand-crafted from solid apple wood in one of the more intriguing interpretations of the Louis XVI style. This pair of armchairs retain the light, warm tones of the wood, hand-carved with egg & dart, laurels, and acanthus motifs. The tapered and fluted legs contrast with the scrolled armrest supports. Rosettes adorn the junctures of the legs at the frames, and create a raised panel at the center of the apron in front. The piece de resistance? The original hand-woven wool Aubusson upholstery is in superlative condition!
