This beautiful vintage 14k gold ring features an oval tanzanite framed by a halo of round brilliant diamonds. The tanzanite is a gorgeous rich blue colour with purple undertones, which is considered to be one of the most desirable shades of tanzanite. The 14 diamonds surrounding the tanzanite create a stunning contrast that makes the blue stone pop and compliments the lighter hues that sparkle within its facets. Designed by LeVian, this ring emulates Princess Diana’s engagement ring—one of the most iconic pieces of jewellery in history.

Tanzanite is one of the only trichroic gemstones, meaning it has the ability to display three colours within the same gemstone. As light passes though the gemstone, it vibrates in different planes, which causes the stone to show a different colour depending on which axis you are looking at it. The three colours seen in this tanzanite are shades of blue, violet, and red. Tanzanite are rare stones that can only be found in a small mining area of Tanzania near the Mererani Hills.

The tanzanite in this ring is 7 carats, and measures 13.5 x 10.5 x 6.5 mm. It is a vibrant shade of blue with no inclusions. The 14 round brilliant diamonds are 2.5mm, VSII in clarity, and G-H in colour. They total .84 of a carat. The 14k gold cage setting is expertly crafted.
